Liquid took on a project to overhaul the audio-visual and control system of a catamaran super-yacht named MOUSETRAP.

Liquid had to investigate a lot of faults when the boat arrived at dock, fix existing fault and expand the systems to the latest technology.

This was a challenge due to the limited timeframe, the workload and the space available in the main AV-rack.

Liquid noted all existing connectivity, extended cabling and rebuilt a newly designed systems on board. A new rotatable rack was installed for the main AV-rack and 5x cabin racks were redesigned and rebuilt.

Changes kept coming, but Liquid raised to the challenge and got the system looking sharp, up and running before the boat sailed to Tahiti.

THE SYSTEM:

Most cabins have an independent HOME THEATRE system setup with Apple TV, free-view, Bluetooth..

The captain and engineers cabins have their standalone systems tied in with the boats CRESTRON 16×16 DM FRAME for an overview and control of the boats AV system.

The video routing and all AV-control of the boat is managed by the CRESTRON 16×16 DM FRAME.

The main AV-rack has multiple video sources (Mini-MAC/2x Apple TV’s/DVD) which can be selected in various locations. Bluetooth audio receivers are located at the bar, lounge and fly-bridge and can be selected in all zones.

The boats sound system is a Meyer Sound rig with multiple MM-4 speakers around the boat, some MM-10’s for the low end and some portable speakers at the fly bridge.

The aft-deck outdoor home theatre system is the biggest audio zone for with 18xMM-4’s and 2xMM-10 speakers.

The audio system is controlled by BSS London Architect, with multiple sound processors located around the boat.

The lounge has an AVR HOME THEATRE setup with a controlled TV lift, active front speakers and passive side, back and sub speakers. There are various other audio and video zones around the boat e.g. bar, dinning, jacuzzi and passages.

The AV system is controlled by various I-pads with individual layouts.

Liquid is also controlling the lights, shades, cameras..
