The Liquid Automation Team has won 1 CEDIA Award for our work at Auckland City Council.

The award presented was for:

  • Best Documentation

Automation AwardIt has now been 11 out of 12 years that we have received an award in this category.


The Liquid Automation Team has won 2 CEDIA 2018 awards for our work on the 145 foot Sailing Yacht Hemisphere, a 5 man refit located in Cospicua, Malta.

The awards presented were for:

  • Best Marine, Auto, Aircraft
  • Technology Meets Design

MAY 2018

Liquid Automation have been featured in the June 2018 Issue of “Widescreen Custom home and Theater Design” Magazine out of the USA for our work on the award winning Melbourne home theater . Entertainment control for Saloon, Owner’s Suite, 3 Guest Cabins, GYM, Pilothouse, Flybridge, Aft Deck, Captain’s Cabin, Crew Cabins and Crew Mess.

The system allows users easy access to multiple AV Sources and viewing of navigation displays, including a mast mounted PTZ camera, at multiple locations.

AV-IT Upgrade to include replacing old TV’s to HD, added a new TV on the Aft Deck, Crestron touch panels & iPad control, Bluray players, Apple TV’s, HD Sat distribution,Wireless Network.


Audio Visual Upgrade

Replaced all existing TV’s with HD Screens and added a new 32″ HD screen in the aft deck.

Replaced old analogue sat distribution with digital HDMI distribution.

Added an Apple TV to saloon and central distribution.

Upgraded existing DVD players to Oppo Bluray players.

Changed all existing Crestron STX-1700 and Philips Pronto touch panels with Crestron MTX-3 remotes.

Added iPad control for the Saloon, Aft Deck and Flybridge.

Upgraded deck amplifiers to Lexicon high power amps.

Rewired IR control from Crestron.

IT Upgrade

Replaced existing wireless system with Ruckus including a zone director.

Replaced network switches to managed GB switches.

Pre Upgrade


Crestron including 3 wireless touch panels. Guest Cabins, Gym, Captain’s Cabin and Crew Mess utilise Philips Pronto pro-colour LCD remotes.

AV Matrix

Allowing a total of 16 sources.


Bose Lifestyle systems are used for the Saloon and Owner’s Cabin. Onkyo DRS2.2 DVD home theatre systems combined with Speakercraft in-ceiling speakers are used in Guest Cabins, Gym, Captains Cabin and Crew Mess.

A music server provides personalised music to each location at CD quality.


A Sharp 45″ LCD TV used in the Saloon and a 37″ LCD TV outside by the spa pool. Philips 23″ Mirror TVs are used in the Guest Cabins and Gym and a 30″ mirror TV is in the Owner’s Cabin.


  • Ability to view navigation information such as Radar and Chart Plotter.
  • CCTV camera control where the camera will follow user’s finger as it moves over the Crestron wireless touch panel.
  • Single button muting of outside speakers for Helmsman operation in time of emergency.

M/Y Ad Lib A/V Upgrade – Antibes France

  • Replaced Bose System with Marantz home theater system.
  • Added a Marantz DVD player on the Flybridge.

Added Features

Complete two way feedback of receiver. This allows for all information to be displayed on the wireless Crestron LCD remote. For example: Volume level and radio station status.
