Liquid Automation was commissioned to revamp the existing audio-visual system and integrate novel technology to enhance the operational efficiency of staff at Goodman Fielder. Reliability and user-friendliness were paramount, leading to the selection of Crestron as the system’s foundation. Notably, several boardrooms and meeting rooms underwent upgrades, incorporating new projectors, projector screens, LCDs, and speakers.
THE SYSTEM:
Crestron Room Scheduling
During the recent office refurbishment, Goodman Fielder implemented a 20-room booking solution to enhance its control and time management capabilities over existing meeting spaces. The Crestron Room View scheduler, strategically installed at the entrance of each room, provides an instantaneous visual representation of room availability for upcoming meetings.
The two-colour interface, with green indicating availability and red indicating reservations, enables quick identification of vacancies or reservations. The panel displays 48 hours, allowing users to swipe through available times and select suitable slots. Additionally, the software integrates with the network calendar, enabling users to book meeting rooms directly from their desks.
A notable advantage of the Crestron Fusion software is its integration with existing calendar programs such as Exchange or Office 365. This integration facilitates seamless booking of meeting rooms from one’s desk. Furthermore, the software optimises productivity and workflow room usage by automatically returning reservations to availability upon ‘no shows’ or early meeting terminations.
Crestron RL 2
(Video Conferencing & Collaboration)
Crestron RL 2 is a sophisticated group collaboration solution designed for boardrooms, meeting rooms, and huddle spaces. This system empowers individuals to initiate collaboration sessions with a simple button press, regardless of the location. It facilitates team meetings and one-on-one video calls via Skype for Business.
Meeting Rooms and Huddle Spaces have undergone enhancements, incorporating additional screens or reinstalling existing hardware to optimise productivity during meetings and informal discussions.
Crestron RL 2 provides participants with the capability to communicate with partners, clients, colleagues, and share documents in real time. It also enables the sharing of desktops and transforms the display into an interactive whiteboard, facilitating the visual representation and participation of ideas among all attendees.
