Control

The Main control of this room was a Crestron wireless handheld remote with a Mini iPAd as a secondary control for searching for Music or controlling the rest of the property.

Control elements for this room were as follows:

Video System

For the video component, installing a projector either within or behind the room was not feasible, nor was rear projection onto the screen an option. After careful consideration, we selected a high-quality video wall as the ideal solution. Among the available choices, Samsung’s “The Wall” emerged as the superior option due to its outstanding performance and advanced features. With built-in apps and an ultra-fine pixel pitch of just 0.8mm, it delivers unparalleled visual clarity and a truly immersive viewing experience.

Audio System

To craft a powerful and immersive audio experience, speaker placement and configuration were meticulously tailored to optimize audio fidelity and surround sound immersion.

The space presented unique challenges, particularly the restricted dimensions beside and above the screen. As mounting speakers directly behind the screen was not an option, we innovatively split the center channel into two dedicated speakers—one positioned above and one below the screen. This arrangement required custom-designed Platinum Triad speakers for the Front Left, Front Right, Center High, and Center Low channels to meet both the project specifications and spatial constraints. The system’s precision was further enhanced with the unparalleled processing capabilities of Trinnov.

Additional audio components included:

• 2 x Custom 15” Subwoofers

• 4 x 15” Subwoofers

• 4 x In-Ceiling Silver/6 Monitors

• 2 x In-Wall Gold/6 Monitors

• 4 x In-Wall Silver/4 Monitors

This setup ensured a dynamic and enveloping audio environment, perfectly aligned with the project’s vision of acoustic excellence.

Acoustical Treatments

.Collaborating closely with the project builders, various acoustic isolation methods were implemented to achieve exceptional sound quality.

Along the walls, a strategic mix of absorbent, reflective, and diffusion panels was installed, while the ceiling incorporated multiple layers of soundboard suspended on rubber isolators to minimize sound transfer to the room above.

Following the construction phase, the space was thoroughly surveyed to identify additional acoustic needs. A third-party specialist provided a comprehensive 3D rendering of the room, which informed the placement of Artnovion absorption and diffuser panels. These treatments were carefully integrated to ensure optimal audio playback quality, maximizing the performance of the speaker system.
